About Us
Fun and Functional.
If you're like me you love bags. All kinds of bags. I have been called a drug dealer of sorts - an addiction enabler. And I'm not immune to my own brand of crack. My obsession, however, comes in the form of buying fabric to make said crack. Bright colors and cute prints constantly catch my eye (like birds with shiny objects) and I collect fabric prints and new sewing patterns as often the sun shines here in Hawai'i. With that being said, I am endlessly grateful to my lovely customers who help sustain my addiction to buying new fabric and making cute bags.
It is a mutually enabling habit!

My bag inspiration often comes from Japan and I can't resist anything kawaii. You'll often find Sanrio and San-X on my work table. Even though I love cute things, I try not to make cute things just to be cute. Maybe it's the sensible mom in me, but it has to be functional as well. Hopefully you find my hand-sewn items useful in your everyday life! Drop me a note and let me know what you use your Kinoko goodies for, I'd love to get new ideas for using bags and making new items. Thanks for visiting!

P.S. What is kinoko you ask? It means mushroom in Japanese.
